Erica Luttrell was born in Toronto, Ontario to a Tanzanian mother raised in the Usambara Mountains, and an American father from north-western Louisiana. The youngest of four girls, Erica began her acting career at the age of two, starring in numerous commercials from Pampers to Cadillac before booking her first leading role in a television series at the ripe old age of nine.

After several seasons of Shining Time Station, TV Ontario's Bookmice, and the animated series The Magic School Bus, with featured roles in Goosebumps and Moonlight and Valentino, she finally migrated south to Los Angeles, California (very supportive, Von Trappishly idealistic parents in tow).

Now with leading roles in films such as Dangerous Evidence the short In Twilight's Shadow, series The New Ghostwriter Mysteries (for which she was nominated for a Hollywood Reporter Young Star Award), and animated series' such as Dave the Barbarian; not to mention guest appearances on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, General Hospital, Dexter, Big Shots, and now Private Practice to name a few, the beautiful and talented Erica demands attention on small and big screen alike.
